So I got to thinking (scary I know).. And I have a question.. For a post WOD recovery from a workout like yesterday (cardio), should we eat something different compared to a post WOD recovery say like on a Saturday WOD or heavy lifting day?

On most days that include some lifting and conditioning, do a 1:1 ratio of carbs to protein. On long grinder type workouts, 2:1 (carbs to protein).
If it's strictly a weightlifting session, you don't necessarily need anything.
I did active recovery yesterday, which was 30 minutes or zone 1 on the rower and Airdyne, then 30 minutes of mobility and I didn't have anything because it wasn't a demanding workout.

Ok so if I'm understand a 1:1 would be like half sweet potato and hard boiled egg and 2:1 would be like a full banana and a hard boiled egg?

6 grams of protein in an egg 27 grams of carb in a banana 27 grams of carb in a sweet potato
You would have to look up the grams of carbs and protein in what you are eating to figure it out. You want to aim for about 20 grams of carbs (plus or minus) for someone like you.
So, 1:1 could look like a 3/4 sweet potato and 3 eggs (20 whatever 20g of another protein is) 2:1 would be a full sweet potato and roughly 15 grams of protein.
